TRION-ENVIRCO TARGETS NEW CLEAN CONDITION APPLICATIONS WITH LOW COST MAC 10 FAN FILTER UNIT

With its highly successful Mac 10 laminar flow, fan filter unit, air filtration specialist, Trion-Envirco, is aiming to break through into a range of new, industrial sectors to satisfy increasing demand for cost effective, clean production environments.

Once the pioneer in disposable, fan filter unit technology, the Mac 10 continues to set the standard in cost effective, air filtration. Initially introduced to European markets by Trion-Envirco in 1996, the Mac 10's impressive international success has been built on its ability to deliver reliable, value for money air filtration for an increasingly diverse range of clean manufacturing environments.

At a rated air flow of 0.45 m/sec, the Mac 10 offers Standard (600mm x 1200mm nominal) HEPA filtration with speed control and exceptionally quiet operation at noise criteria 45 (nc45) at 50dBA. This low noise performance is achieved through the unit's patented VE5 baffling system which ensures a uniform airflow across the filter face whilst attenuating sound to this ultra-quiet level.

Mac 10 units are available to suit a wide variety of applications. Fully CE marked and exceeding IES-RP2 recommendations, the standard Mac 10 provides a minimum efficiency of 99.99% at 0.3 microns. ULPA filters capable of removing particles of 0.12 micron or larger at 99.9995% efficiency can be fitted for critical applications. Units are modular in design (measuring 600mm x 1200mm nominal) with a slim profile of under 333mm to ensure an easy fit within T-bar or Gel Seal ceilings. A further option available with the Mac 10 is a Room-Side Replaceable (RSR) version. This model is ideal where limited headroom is available and filter changes need to be carried out from within the cleanroom.

Each Mac 10 has a pre-wired junction box for simple and direct electrical connection and has options available with various voltages for worldwide applications. Designed to provide long lasting, trouble-free operation, the Mac 10 lid and body is constructed from strong aluminium. The unit incorporates a direct drive, backward inclined centrifugal fan/motor with sealed for life bearings for extra reliability.
